I decided to feature a bench on both of my active blogs: this one and my Santa Fe blog. This bench is located in a small park on Summit Avenue across from the University Club. It is dedicated to one of our beloved former governors.
Very nice! New Stage Theater has a new program in place. They are raising money to refurbish the theater seats. If your donation reaches a certain threshold, they will put a commorative plaque on a seat in your name. I would love to have my name on a seat, but it probably won't happen!
une coutume tres americaine (d'offrir un banc a qq que l'on aime ou aimé) qui commence a venir petit a petit en France
ReplyDeleteThe idea of dedicated or "sponsored" benches is very good. Something you don't (yet?) see in Paris.
ReplyDeleteI always appreciate a bench to rest these days as my knee continues to heal.
ReplyDeleteSuch a nice tribute.
ReplyDeleteDid Elmer become more "beloved" after he left us or before?
ReplyDeleteCool bench, whatever.

ReplyDeleteBefore anyone asks: "The love of books unites us".
ReplyDeleteAlso the motto of The International League of Antiquarian Booksellers
I like your Santa Fe bench and you posted a quite good resolution, so I can use it if you wish.
