Fitzgerald Theatre

The Fitzgerald Theatre, named after one of our favorite sons and until recently owned by MPR,  is located around the corner from this mural. My family and I have attended many theatrical shows and performances there and wonder how the recent sale to First Avenue will affect programing.

  1. Wasn't it the Fitzgerald Theatre where the Prairie Home Companion originated? Sure heard many of those shows on MPR. That is a great mural.

  5. That mural portrays perfectly the snobbery and false machismo of prep school perpetrators! Is that sale of the building related to Trump's most recent attempt to shut down all public broadcasting? Scary. But that's what he's going to try to do.

  6. I too wonder why MPR sold the theatre. Can their hoo-hah with Keillor have affected their bottom line, I wonder?

  10. A very nice mural of the great writer. I've read his books through the years and always liked him. His wife Zelda ia another story. :)
