An Apple Tree!

            How about dem apples?!
I was very surprised to see an apple tree on a sidewalk in a retail area on Grand Avenue in front of Cooks culinary shop in St. Paul.  It looks like a shrub rather than a tree, but there it is, producing lovely looking apples!

  1. I agree that is a strange place to plant an apple tree. I wonder if people are going to be allowed to pick them when they're ripe. Anyway, there won't be many.

  6. An odd place. It won't get much bigger than it is.

  7. I'd love to see any apple tree again...we don't have 'em down here. This is pretty weird, though. It is also pretty nice!

  8. And who will eat these?

  9. I wonder if people help themselves? I must confess. As a small child I use to steal apples from a neighbors tree that hung over into the alley.

  10. I think it is a great idea to plant fruit trees in the city. If they are going to plant trees, they might as well produce something besides shade.

  11. That's certainly different. I wonder if passersby pick and eat the fruit. The apples look pretty healthy and like they were thinned at the right time (which I fail to do on my tree).
