Ramadan

When we first moved into our neighbourhood 40 years ago, it traditionally was Catholic and Jewish. Over the years it has gradually diversified with a variety of religions and ethnicities. I was heartened recently when I noticed several of these lawn signs during my morning walks with Wild Wendy.  Sure beats some of the predictable political signs that are sure to appear during this election year.

Linking to Signs, signs

  1. No melting pot here in Canada. It is a multicultural country. Go to the City Of Toronto and you will think you are in many different countries. I just can't imagine going through a lengthy political campaign like the ones in the USA. We just had one here that lasted a few months and that was enough for me. Just saying. :)

  2. Interesting sign showing both acceptance and tolerance. We need more of that.

  3. I guess we are not used to have SIGNS like this in gardens or on cars here in Norway.
But I think it is a nice gesture.

  5. That is much more inclusive than one would see out of your typical supporter of Ye Olde Ego.

  6. That is a way of looking at things we don't see much anymore. It's kinda like "Love your neighbor as yourself."

  10. With so much anti-Muslim attitude being promoted these days this sign is nice to see.
