Serendipity-ABC WEDNESDAY & Minnesota Workers

Yesterday I posted a photo of pollution warnings painted at sewer openings in our neighborhood.  The following day I opened our front door, and lo and behold, there waving at me was a former colleague who was out with a group of her advisees, doing community service.  I loved seeing the students hard at work with their friendly and vivacious French teacher.  Sometimes I really, really miss teaching these great kids and seeing my wonderful colleagues.
Terrific Minnesota Workers!

  2. The joy of serendipity as it applies to much of life is huge, but I've found that when it appears in conjunction with something which I have photographed and long to share with others who visit my blog, the joy turns to monumental. I adore this tip-top example of monumental serendipity!

It's good to see young women getting involved in these activities.
    (Is that OK?)

  5. I'm sure the people down river like their community service.

  6. Good for them. People should not pollute regardless of where the water flows, but personalizing the runoff to the Mississippi does emphasize that there are fish and people downstream who would be damaged if someone dumps used motor oil down the storm sewer.

  17. We certainly did communicate regarding the name Klenke! Jim took his step-father's name when his mother remarried. He grew up in an area not far from my home town of Caseyville IL. Isn't that fun?

  18. Great cause, great post. I also miss the classroom sometimes, although I now teach an online course which has its own benefits (incl. more freedom and flexibility with time).
