Last Tuesday our neighborhood enjoyed a cookout, organized by one of our more gregarious neighbors. Traffic was averted and several blocks were barricaded so that we had the use of driveways for grilling and the street where tables and chairs were set up. It was arranged so that we brought our own meat or entree, but we all contributed to the feast: appetizers, salads, and desserts. Three police cars, two fire trucks, and paramedics arrived during the celebration to mingle with the kids and to have a little fun themselves. Tomorrow I'll show you more photos of the festivities.
Feels so good.
ReplyDeleteLove your main shot, Kate and then the small photo explaining it, as it were. So good to see kids - and obviosly adults too - having fun.
ReplyDeleteThe look on the little girls face tells more than many words.
ReplyDeleteTotally confidence to the man at her side and surprices in front!
Great shots from the Planet Earth ;-)
Now that looks like fun!
ReplyDeleteThat is the most wonderful idea!! You are lucky to live in a place like that. Around our little street there are neighbors who wont even wave back when they see us in the yard. But then, we do live in Arizona you know, so.....
ReplyDeleteWow this brings back memories.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the invitation
ReplyDeleteThat hose is pure summer fun! And a block party too.
ReplyDeleteSo nice to see you again. Thank you for your good birthday greeting today. :)
