On the first floor, the Capitol Rotunda Gallery had an exhibit called, "New Mexico Fabrications Art Quilts by New Mexico Art Quilters," which was an outstanding collection of approximately 30+ quilters. This one entitled "Adobe Sundance" was crafted by Michelle Jackson of Albuquerque, NM.

The artifacts look great, and remembered me of one large vase I carried once all the way from Mexico through several airlines connections... Ugh!
Have a great day and a wonderful weekend!

ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous quilt. I am in awe of the work that quilters do. I was just telling a friend tonight how I regret that I didn't get to see the Gees Bend Quilt exhibit when it was in Auburn. I think their designs are so abstract and just wonderful. Thanks for sharing this lovely quilt.
