Election Day

I know that I published some of the following content before, but I want to touch base with as many bloggers friends as I can. After my automatic posts are completed, I don't know when I'll be back. Keep in touch!!
Today is Election Day in the USA, and I am really "up a creek," but not for the reason you may think. I have elected to have shoulder surgery today and have been told that my recuperation period, including therapy, will probably be 8-12 weeks. Then after I have completely recovered from that I will have foot surgery for another 8-12 week period-of-time. Bye-bye winter months in a warm climate! Now, you see, I am really up a creek!!

I have photos automatically scheduled for several days, but I don't know what will happen after that since my dominate arm will be immobilized in a slingshot2 ...check it out: (http://www.breg.com/shoulder-bracing/slingshot-2.html; it's amazingly cumbersome!) Stay tuned to see how long it will take before your plucky, spunky, and feisty blogger friend returns. That's all folks!!

PS. I already voted!

  3. And the Lord said "Thou art verily up that creek known as Fluvius Turdius in a coracle solely constructed of Wirus Barbus and furthermore thou hast sadly left that locomotion device known as Paddelus Lignus on the shore.

However fear not, for thy faith in the physicus surgicus shall be fulfilled and by the second full moon thou shall be frolicking in the manner of the Lambus Springus and taking on Federus Rogericus on the verdant quadrangle and thrashing him to love.
And forgeteth thee not thy trusty spouse DH who shall tirelessly suffer tirades of abuse and shall nevertheless mop thy fevered brow and tend thy wounds with sweet-smelling balms and fetch you the New York Times every day.
And forgeteth thee also not the Communitus Bloggerus who hold thee in great esteem and count every sunrise ans unset until your return.

And thou shall feel as born again, so quiteth thy lamenting, sucketh it up and get thee forth to the meadows of enjoyment.

  5. I've had shoulder surgery. I was told I'd be out of commission for 3-4 months. Maybe I was the exception, but I was playing golf 10 days after surgery. I hope you have the same luck that I did.
