Window and Flower Box

Walking through my neighborhood at this time of year is a real treat. Because our winters are legendary (record snow or low temperatures) people LOVE the summers. Almost every house has an abundance of flowers, which makes the neighborhood colourful and very attractive. I'd love to live in a climate where these were year round images. Would you?

  1. How very pretty, Kate. As pretty as yesterday's tree was odd. No idea what it was but would love to know one day. So glad you are back.

I like when there are different seasons, seeing different landscapes, I'd like to live in a place where it is always beautiful, always cold.
I understand your neighbors, they benefit (and appreciate) the weather, flowers, all through the cold of winter

  3. Very pretty. I would love that sort of climate all year. Our summer this year has turned into another wash out. What has happened to the sun in Cheltenham?!

  4. You know, I suspect you would get bored if you only had one climate :)

  5. I know what you mean. I love the changing seasons, but at this stage of my life, I'm ready for flowers and fresh veggies all year long. I love photos of windows and doors and this is just lovely. Must make a nice view for the people inside looking out as well.

  6. I would agree (maybe with a hort trip somewhere now and then to get a feeling of other climates and seasons)! What about Mexico? :-)

  9. I do live in that type of climate. Its a joy to see flowers and green most of the time. Of course we don't have the drama of snow and very distinct seasons. Parts of that I would like too.

  10. What kind of flowers are they? I'm not up on things like that :)
I like the seasons, but not a brutal winter - it is 95 degrees here right now & I don't like that, either!!

  13. Summer may be beautiful but I prefer the cold weather more. Nothing feels better than hiding under the comforters with a good book and good cup of cocoa.
