  8. What a contrast between your snow post and this...I like them both, but you know which one I prefer ;-)

Looking forward to your posts from Mexico. Are you renting the same house?

  9. As I ran around today in slush, cold and snow, doing errands this image did indeed sustain me.

Kerri, As soon as I'm hooked up to internet or, if that's not possible, I'll use a cybercafe to blog as I did last year. Photography is so easy there because of the wonderful light.

Isabella, Nope, we will be living in two different places: a condo and a house. Requires a move but unless one stays for 6 months, rentals are not easy to find -- resorts are always available but I prefer to live in a Mexican neighborhood. Long-term renters snap up the prime, economical places. I'm just a snowbird. And February is Carnaval (yipee!!)so the town is jumping. Last year my first place was infested with bats, and it took me 2 weeks to find another place. Had great neighbors who have become friends at the new place. I have seen my places this year, and I'm satisfied. I'll be blogging!!

  13. ooooh lucky you!! Am really looking forward to your photos from Mexico, although I must admit I still enjoy all the snow pix, I guess because it is a novelty that I don't have to actually endure, so it looks all romantic and lovely!

Do you, by chance, remember that first year going down there? Was it a tense time or were you like going home again? Everything was just wonderful? I would think I would be nervous.

I do read several blogs from Americans who are in Panama, Mexico and Argentina and all seem to love it where they are at. I find it most interesting the living in another country is still possible. I had a lot more courage when I was 19 or 20 and lived in Japan than I do now at 73 going on 74.

Anyway, I like your photograph a lot, Kate. You do good work.
