It has had a flood of orders for the hat. They are making a cheaper version of her hat for $185 for those who are making orders.

Aretha has been getting her hats at the same shop for 20 years. The hat she wore at the inauguration was a creation that resulted from her recent visit to the shop, and she picked out a style of hat, but said that she wanted the bow from a different hat put on the hat that
she picked out. They cutom made the new hat for her.Dave-CostaRicaDailyPhoto.comhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02567583999945259422noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28981938.post-63383158919289766172009-01-24T05:01:00.000-06:002009-01-24T05:01:00.000-06:00That was some hat and she looked magnificent, and ...That was some hat and she looked magnificent, and as always sounded superb. Interestingly several Brit friends couldn't understand how come she was singing to the music of God Save the Queen. No idea which country had it first - 'we' consider it ours and doubtless Americans consider it belongs to them. Quite funny really.Jillyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08059152467099868300noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28981938.post-560703533685518072009-01-23T13:26:00.000-06:002009-01-23T13:26:00.000-06:00Wow. Hats like Aretha Franklin's cannot, after all, just be thrown in a suitcase.

Nowadays, the most common hatwear is to see young men wearing baseball caps all the time, even when eating in restaurants, which is a pet peeve of mine. Aretha Franklin could certainly wear her hat into a restaurant and no one would expect her to take it off.Dave-CostaRicaDailyPhoto.comhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02567583999945259422noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28981938.post-76912461635748751462009-01-23T02:58:00.000-06:002009-01-23T02:58:00.000-06:00Nice angle of this respected singer!Nice angle of this respected singer!

the great Aretha, and it is rare because it is afraid of flying.Olivierhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00602980523811128510noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28981938.post-78395087440357071172009-01-23T00:20:00.000-06:002009-01-23T00:20:00.000-06:00I love hats...and that was a hat!
